Michele David, award-winning quilter, will teach you how to create wonderful quilted masks. You will explore an intuitive way of making by letting the fabric “speak” to you. African masks are dramatic portraits of spirit beings, departed ancestors. You will honor your ancestors in making the mask quilt. |

| Expressive Self Portrait in Fabric
Create a fun self-portrait in fabric! Bring fun fabrics with lots of different type of prints for features and hair and some solid colors for the face. Bring tacky glue, scissors and a fat quarter of heavy weight interface or canvas fabric to use as a base for the portrait. Who will you be at the end of the day? |

Fees 2006:
Lectures: $300.00 (with workshop)$350.00 (without workshop)
3 hour class: $275.00
6 hour class: $425.00

The lecture fee is $ 350 plus travel expenses, and room and board as needed.
I will need:
A Kodak projector with remote control, a spare bulb and a screen.
A room that can be darkened.
A wall or table to display sample quilts.
