My mother raised 3 feminists’ daughters in a very patriarchal country, Haiti. It was an act of courage. Erzulie Dantor is the Haitian Goddess (LOA) of motherhood and love. She is a fierce protector of women, thus providing the inspiration of this piece about my mother.
